My new loves =) We got 3 adorable baby bantams on Friday. 1 male, 2 females. Now anyone who knows me at all knows how much I love naming things, especially new pets, that goes double for chickens. Meg and I collaborated on the the little boy and on of the girls. Mom and Mr. named the last. Almost all of our chickens have a TV or music reference in their name, usually an old show from the 60's, 70's or 80's. Our little rooster has the longest name. Lee (Scarecrow & Mrs. King LOVE that show!!!) Zander (How to Rock, Meg's contribution)Cecil (the Gay Divorcee, a favorite Fred Astaire/Ginger Rogers movie from the 40's) Guster (Psych)
Then there is Kelly (Saved by the Bell, Meg, and Charlie's Angels, me)
Mom named Audrey (my favorite actress ever!) and Mr. added a last name, Flada. We are not quite sure where that name came from.
Lee Zander Cecil GusterAudry Flada
Kelly
We were hoping that Elly Mae (The Beverly Hillbillies) would 'adopt' them. No dice.
Lee is such a snuggle bug. he curls up (or whatever it is that chickens do) and goes right to sleep. I love cuddling him.
Chow time!
